“USCCA Donates $10,000…”

USCCA Donates $10,000 to fight for gun rights…

Every now and then, I get emails from people asking me to leave politics out of the USCCA.

They say that they LOVE the information we give, but they don’t want to hear about how ‘so and so may or may not be after our guns‘.

Here’s the deal: If you like drinking coffee, and some special interest group suddenly begins howling that coffee is a national health hazard, and it could save taxpayers $100 Billion per year if coffee were outlawed, you sort of have a decision to make:

“Is my passion for coffee worth fighting for? Or do I go with the flow.”

The fact of the matter is that guns are controversial… And if you’ve carried concealed for any amount of time, you already know that it really becomes a defining part of your lifestyle.

So… unless you are willing to give up the Concealed Carry lifestyle, you sort of have to recognize that it’s impossible to discuss Concealed Carry without bringing politics into it.

There are a LOT of people who don’t agree with your way of life, and they are willing to spend a lot of money and time to take your right to Carry Concealed away from you.

Well, I have big news- the USCCA is stepping up to the plate.

I’m sure you’ve heard about the Supreme Court decision from last year, which struck down Washington D.C.’s ban on handguns.

Well, now our allies in the gun-rights battle are going after the next biggest 2nd Amendment offender- Chicago, who also bans handguns.

In order for the case to even show up as a blip on the radar, a brief has to be filed, outlining the entire case. This can be VERY expensive- like, $30,000 expensive.

Well, the Buckeye Firearms Association is spear-heading the drive to have this brief written, and I have a huge announcement to make:

The USCCA just donated $10,000 toward this effort!

Become a member of the USCCA today, and know that your money is going toward making REAL change.

=> Join the USCCA today.

They hate your way of life. We love it, and we thank you for having made the correct choice.

Stay safe,

Tim Schmidt

  1. The problem with too many people is they would rather stick there heads in a hole and let someone else do there fighting for them. Too many people have a memory span smaller than a Ant and will keep voting for the same DUMMIES over and over again.

    • I really can not stress how much I agree with your comment!! So many people want the cake and to be able to eat it to. And think everyone else should keep that going for them. Well no matter if they don’t fight I will never leave the front line to defend my freedoms and GOD given rights. But I believe they should also.

  2. LEAVE POLITICS OUT OF CONCEALED CARRY? THAT IS LIKE SAYING “I SUPPORT THE TROOPS, BUT I’D LIKE TO SEE US GET OUR BUTTS KICKED IN
THE WAR” THAT IS JUST NAIVE.

  3. I believe every American should get to know what our own government is doing to take our rights away from us. Regardless of how the fell on a certain right. Ie.. guns. Once they finish with one they’ll just keep going till they have them all. Then they’ll hit one one they do care about. So to stop rambling yes I do stand up and speak my mind to all my representatives and anyone come across. And I fight for my right to keep and bear arms. And I thanks you for including articles and need to know info in you CCM. Please keep it going.

  4. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE NATION WIDE CARRY CONCEALED KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK

  5. Too do nothing is to agree. This country needs to stand up for itself sooner or later. People are tired of being pushed around. Too many things just are the way it is. In God we trust, without God we fall. Simple as that. a little off track at the end but just the facts.

  6. It is sad but true, money speaks, if we do not want the hate guns people to control that aspect of our lives{guns] we need to fund our message. Keep up the good fight.

  7. Big ol’ Bravo Zulu…sometimes you just have to stand up on your hind legs and do the right thing…

  8. With the U.N. getting more entrenched into the constitutional affairs of the U.S.A., it is extremely difficult to be able to stand on the sidelines and not be involved with the politics of various gun control measures. All gun owners at some point, will have to make a decision on how far they are going to let their Second Amendment right be threatened.
    “Don’t Tread On Me”

  9. I am all for the donation you gave and would like to make one myself can’t be the 10 grand . But would like to know how to make a smaller one.

  10. Thank you, Tim, Laura, Pat, C R, U S C C A, All of you.

  11. way to go Tim!!! I agree, we must stay in the fight (politics included).

  12. lI would feel just as naked if I could not carry concealed as if I left my home without pants on .
I feel we must do everything in our power to keep our rights .

  13. Thank you for your belief in the Constitution and the Second Amendment. You are correct in that we must stand up for our rights or we will lose them. I have written my Senators and Congressmen on support of gun rights and will continue to do whatever I can to uphold this right. I know I am in excellent company with your organization and the rest of the clear thinking majority of people in this country.

  14. Very good. I appreciate all the help I can get in keeping the vultures off my guns. Maybe USCCA can consider having a
” round up ” or something similar that I and ” others ” can extend the amount of my membership. I would just make it clear that this is voluntary. I think ( hope ) that all members of USCCA would understand and agree……..but some will not.

  15. Absolute hog wash! The most dangerous assault on our rights and liberties was President Bush. The Patriot Act is a fancy name for illegal wire and wireless taps. We can protect our right to bear arms without assualting our freedom of speech or attacking an administration trying to cleanup Bush’s mess.
Can you name a single thing that has been done in the last ten months that attacked my rights. A little calm diplomacy is worth more than your collective bellowing!

    • Wow! What part of, the people in Chicago have a constitutional right to own a gun, do you have a problem with? Calm down.

    • Man, you are a fool … can you spell CZAR? … and that’s just the beginning of it.

Get off the Patriot Act, nothing happened except pressure on the bad guys; I’m tired of people like you whining about a non-event.

You should be MUCH more worried about liberals taking over DHS and turning this disaster on its head from the original intent of fighting international terrorists to going after folks domestically, but you’ll have to locate your brain first.

  16. I am not only proud to belong to USCCA, but I am also proud of the USCCA for putting your money where your mouth is!
    That is just outstanding!

  17. Thanks Tim and everyone that helped in this!!!I would donate but have been out of work for almost two years and don’t collect unemployment. If I had to say one bad thing its probally that we should not make fun of Obama so much as just be critical of his policies. The halloween stuff was borderline.Just my opinion though. You guys do great things and I will hopfully join soon.

  18. I took the oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, that being said,I strongly believe in the 2nd amendment!
I live in New Jersey, We do not have a CCP in this state.
I believe all Law Abiding American Citizens have the Right to keep and bear arms.
The Police are not Crime Prevention Officers, we are.
    Stand Strong…I am

  19. Tim: So glad to hear you taking this action, thanks. We all need to do whatever we can to protect our rights.

  20. Our forefathers pledged their lives, fortunes and sacred honor when declaring freedom for the states of America. A war was fought and won for that freedom. Then, in order to preserve that freedom, a constitution was written as laws for the government of the states. Amendments were added to preserve the type of government that was desired. The second amendment was added in anticipation for times such as these so that the people could stay free. Current education does not teach these truths. Some one has to make them known. It is our duty to do that for the future generations or there will be no U.S.A. as we know it, in the future.

  21. GREAT JOB! SORRY I CANNOT DO MORE

  22. Good Job!!! Way to go !!!
    I wish I had $10,000 To give too :(

  23. Good work Tim, I agree that we MUST keep up with what’s going on in the gun world . I do understand how some of the members feel~~I feel the same way, HOWEVER~~as has been said before~~FREEDOM is NOT FREE !!! We have to FIGHT for it , AND we have to fight to KEEP IT ! The ONLY reason we can have guns today is because those before us, and we, have been diligent to keep on top of what is happening in politics. Thanks for your $10,000.00 contribution to fight those who WOULD take our guns away~~if they could.

  24. I am happy the Supreme Court supported the right to bear in D. C., and I pray they continue to recognize that right in Illinois.

  25. good move all of us should stick together
    Thks Jim

  26. Way to go, Tim! Makes me proud to be a member!

  27. I renewed my membership after reading this. I had been away a few years.
Thanks for putting Your money where our mouth is.
    Ken

  28. With you all the way on this. Exploring local Gun Clubs so that my wife can get the training needed for Concealed Carry

  29. Excellent, I am also proud to be a member. The effort and time that has been put into this I beleive will definitely be rewarding in the long run. Automobiles are as deadly as handguns and i don’t see anyone trying to ban the Big 3. And i beleive there have been more fatalities involving automobiles than CCW license holders. Thankyou sincerely, Paul Booth

  30. Kudos Tim. I’m with ya. My wife and I have been loyal NRA members for 10 years. We know that if we don’t stand up for our rights, no one will. Those that don’t want to accept that our rights are under a leftist assault are asleep at the switch. We don’t need any more people needing a wake-up call after being bamboozled by the likes of Obama. The next time may be too late if it isn’t already. Matt.

  31. Tim,

I think it is great, I only wish it could be more. Feel free to inject politics into the 2nd Amendment all you wish, the truth needs to be told. I will forever be a member of the USCCA.

  32. Good for you. Too many people are just accepting a law, instead of fighting it. Im a freedom fighter, so I like to hear about stuff like this. Good job. Anyone disagrees, you shouldn’t have guns.

  33. Mayor Daley and his clowns in that city are drunk with power. I belive that every one has a right to self protection.
USCCA has done a great service for
this case, and the citizens of Chi town will finally get their rights back soon.

  34. keep up the good fight, we.re losing our rights every day. like they say (from my cold dead hand.

  35. How can we leave politics out?
If we do not know what the threat is we can not fight it.
If we do not stay aware we will wake up one day and say “what happen”
Keep the info comming. Let the sheep read a cook book.
    Dick

  36. YOUR SUPPORT OF BUCKEYE IS JUST ANOTHER REASON THAR IM GLAD I JOINED USCCA! I READ YOUR ARTICAL, AND THEN HAD TO SEND A DONATION OF MY OWN.PLEASE KEEP UP THE GOOD FIGHT

  37. I gave twice becoming a member of USCCA and Buckeye Firearms. Hopefully once I get through this unemployment I be able to donate more.

  38. I support the donation. We will always need to keep watch for the incremental erosion of all our rights, including the second amendment.
We are lucky to have Mr Schmidt and his organization.

  39. Appreciate your well stated position re: the ‘gun rights’ litigation and gift to help fuel the fire.

I only wish Tim would tell us why his pride in announcing his $10K gift isn’t matched by a “personalized” membership card that expresses our pride in belonging to USCCA. NRA and TSRA make us proud.

  40. First off, I support the 2d Amendment of the United States Constitution, having given my oath to the extent of being willing to hazard my life. Along with that, I also support a universal right to carry across all State boundaries of our nation, openly or concealed, without weapon/ammunition/individual requiring registration, inclusive of selective-fire arms. That said, however, I nonetheless respect and even admire those who are willing to lose their lives and the lives of their friends and family members rather than have armed citizens available to assist in the event of need. Those fanatics take idealism to a level exceeding even my own dedication, for they are willing to die as brainwashed sheep, whereas I am only willing to place myself in harm’s way for the ideals I support and do not easily take to dying in the furtherance of any cause. Such people actually walk among us! For them, I’d like to tip my cover (hat) before giving them the appropriate award: “Here’s yer sign!”

  41. Hi, Tim,
Congratulations! Somebody who puts their money where their mouth is. I’ve been donating to organizations like the NRA,NRA ILA, Gun Owners of America, and the Second Amendment foundation for 40+ years. I’m not a rich man. When I’ve tried to convince my fellow hunters and other gun owners to join in the fight, I usually get a negative response and am required to go to great lengths to explain the value of these organizations. Thanks so much for your support. Also, I love being a member of USCCA. The benefits far exceed the membership fee.

  42. i agree with everyone we need to stand up and make are self heard or they will thing we agree with them and try to band every thing they can ,i help the nra, nra ila, as much as i can and will se renewing my membership with uscca,i love being a member too thank for wath you guys do

  43. I tryed for ten minuts to email a donation for Chiago gun rights and it would not go through

  44. IF YOU GIVE GUN HATING LIBERALS AN INCH, THEY WILL TAKE A MILE. IF GUN LAWS ROLL IN THEIR FAVOR, IT WILL BE AS A FREIGHT TRAIN HEADING TOWARD OUR FREEDOM TO DEFEND. THE FOUNDING FATHERS WROTE MANY PIECES ON DEFENSE, PRESERVATION, AND WHAT “COULD” OCCUR, IF THE LEFT GOT THEIR HANDS INTO THE TILL, AND THIS IS A REAL ISSUE TODAY. I SALUTE THIS DONATION. I WISH I COULD MATCH IT, BUT I HAVE TO PREPARE TO PAY FOR TAXES IF THE UPCOMING FLEECING OF AMERICA OCCURS WITH HEALTHCARE AND CAP AND TAX. BOTH PELOSI PIPE DREAMS. HAIL VIRGINIA AND JERSEY. WE SENT A MESSAGE! PELOSI CAN TWIST A BLUE DOGS ARM, BUT WE ELECT THEM, AND IF THEY VOTE IN FAVOR OF THIS HEALTHCARE, OR CAP AND TAX, THE REPUBLICANS WILL ENJOY A RETURN TO OWNING THE HOUSE AND SENATE; THIS TIME, HOWEVER, THEY BETTER GET IT RIGHT. I THINK THEY LEARNED AN IMPORTANT LESSON, AND WITH OUR HELP, AND PERHAPS THE HELP OF THIS DONATION, MORE EYES WILL BE OPENED. IT’S NOT EVERY DAY AN ORGANIZATION SUCH AS THIS DONATES $10,000 TOWARD AN “AMERICAN CAUSE.” ALSO, BE PREPARED TO DEFEND YOUR ARGUEMENTS ABOUT THE RECENT VIOLENCE AT FORT HOOD AND IN ORLANDO. HAD BUT ONE PERSON BEEN CARRYING CONCEALED, MANY LIVES WOULD HAVE BEEN SAVED. I GUARANTEE THAT STATEMENT WITH MY REPUTATION, AND MY LIFE.

  45. Illinois sorely needs a concealed carry law and I am working towards it everyday!

  46. I thank my God that I was born American. I was born and raised before the history books were re-written and before there was a Dr. Spock. I am a full blooded American from the old school who believes in the Constitution of the United States of America and not maritime law or the U.N. law or the European Union law. It is past time that we free Americans took our country back and by force if necessary.

  47. Thank you for “stepping up to the plate.” I wish I could make a big contribution. As it is I belong to USCCA and the NRA. United we stand, DIVIDED WE FALL!
